The temps finally cooled off and we had out first sticking snow of the season Thursday 11/8/2021. The weekend of the 6th and 7th was very warm, near 60 degrees F. Things were still very green and some Thistle, Campion and Queen Anne's Lace were blooming along the driveway. On Sun 11/14, I found Round Lobed Hepatica blooming. Hepatica is an early spring bloomer so I thought this was very odd. Chris noticed a young tree will galls at the base of each of the few dried up leaves that were still hanging on.
The nights are getting very long. Trying to enjoy the moon, the stars and the planets. Jupiter and Venus are obvious in the southern sky just after sunset. If you look a bit more closely between the 2 you can see Saturn.
